With Kelly Slater winning in J-Bay, this has lead to him holding an
ALMOST
insurmountable lead in the ratings for 2008. Not since Martin Potters devastating 1989 world title campaign has a contender been this dominant.
The bookies are aware of this and bar Slater finishing poorly, i.e. worse than 17th's for the next three WCT's and someone else winning all the next 3 WCT's, it is unlikely there will be a World title market available for the rest of the year.
