Established in 2003 by some of the older Pango Village Surfers and with assistance from some local expats and visiting tourists, Pango Board Riders have been successfully promoting surfing throughout their village (one of the biggest in Vanuatu).

The main problem they have is that whilst there is good surf in Vanuatu, it is not renowned as world class and thus doesn’t get the large amount of surfers visiting and leaving boards that village's in Fiji and other parts of the South Pacific do.

A fundraiser was done a number of years ago and a large number of boards were brought to Vanuatu from Australia for use by the Pango Board Riders. However there are unforgiving reefs in that part of the world and most of these boards are well past their use by date.

Surfing-Odds will be collecting boards for shipment to Pango Board Riders over the next 6 months, so if you have any old bangers lying around that you want to get rid of, we will happily take them off your hands and send them to Pango Board Riders.

To donate your Board, contact us, and we will forward you an address (on the Gold Coast)* that you can drop the board off at. Leave your details with our Surfing-Odds contact in Australia and we will send you an email when the boards are presented to Pango Board Riders as well as updates on how the club is going.

Assisting in the Donate a Board Program for the Pango Board Riders is Air Vanuatu, who have agreed to ship the boards from the East Coast of Australia for nix and the Vanuatu Government for allowing these boards to enter the country without any duty being paid.
